Ability to Benifit:

MATC complies with the U.S. Department of Education ability to benefit standards for applicants who do not have a high school diploma or equivalent and wish to seek federal student financial aid. The “ability to benefit” is measured at the MATC by the Ability to Benefit Accuplacer test, which is an on-line test approved by the U.S. Department of Education. This test is available at the MATC Test Center and may be taken by appointment.

The subtests and minimum required scores are:
 ATB Accuplacer  Minimum Required Score
 Reading comprehension  55
 Sentence Skills  60
 Arithmetic  34

Records of student progress are maintained and include skills, competencies, attendance, pass or fail grade and job placement.
