Class and Lab Training:
Most jobs today require a working knowledge of certain computer skills. Microsoft Applications Business Technology course is designed to provide the fundamental software competencies you need to survive and prosper in today’s fast-changing workplace. You will learn how to implement the powers of modern office software to work faster and more efficiently. This course focuses on and prepares students to use the basics of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Students also learn Computer Literacy and Keyboarding.

Course Prerequisites

• High school students should obtain counselor approval prior to enrolling in all classes to ensure that they are consistent with their SEOP goal.
• As part of the admission process, adult students are required to complete a basic assessment of reading and math skills. The test is free and takes approximately 1 hr to complete. For additional information, call the Testing Center at: (801) 753-4110.

Open Entry / Open Exit Enrollment (OE/OE):

Students can start class on the 1st or 3rd Monday of the month, providing space is available, and will end upon completion of competencies. High school students must approve enrollment start and end dates with their high school counselor before registering with MATC.
