Heartsaver CPR / AED Certification

Program Training Plan
The Heartsaver CPR AED course combines basic CPR skills training with instruction and practice in using an AED. The course covers: adult CPR AED with and without a mask, adult choking, child CPR AED, infant CPR, and child and infant choking.

Program Length
3 Hour Course • 1 DayCourse Prerequisites
• Students must be 16 years of age or older to enroll in Heartsaver CPR/AED Certification.
• A maximum of 18 students per session and a minimum of 6 students is required to carry the class. If the enrollment numbers are not met the course dates, times, and locations can be changed or the course may be dropped.

COURSE SCHEDULE AND AVAILABILITY:
This 3 hour course is a single day course that is available on the third Tuesday of every month throughout the year, as long as minimum enrollment numbers are met.

AHA CERTIFICATION CARD:
Students will receive a certification card from the American Heart Association, along with a MATC Recognition of Training Certificate, as proof of their training. The cost of the AHA card is included in the course fees.
THIS COURSE IS INTENDED FOR:
• Individuals who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements
• Lay rescuers who may need to respond to an emergency in the workplace
• Family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death
