Information Technology, Administrator (1,170 hr.)

Enrollment Available to: Adults ONLY

This program prepares students to become well rounded administrators in the information technology field.  Students begin by studying computer troubleshooting, then proceeding through network management.  The administrative program provides a focus in network management, operations, and security management.  Once the program has been completed technicians can be certified in six major industry certifications and have working knowledge of industry equipment.

The Information Technology Programs helps meet the diverse needs of students with different interests and objectives.  Courses encourage practical application of knowledge through hands-on activities, to prepare students for career opportunities, continuing education, and globally-recognized certifications.  With support from instructors, students who are disciplined and motivated cannot only earn industry recognized certifications, but will also acquire the hands-on skills to be confident in competing in today’s workforce.


• The 1,170 hours in the Information Technology Program enables students to apply their MATC certificate towards an Associates of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Technology at the Utah Valley University (UVU). Please direct any questions to the program instructor for more information.

Information Technology, Technical Support: High School Enrollment

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT PROGRAM ONLY

Enrollment Available to: High School Juniors and Seniors ONLY

This program has been designed specifically for high school aged students.  The majority of the program courses focuses on the student learning computer maintenance and troubleshooting.

Information Technology, Technician (675 hr.)

Enrollment Available to: Adults ONLY

This program prepares students to become industry certified in hardware and software of today’s industry computers and computer systems.  Students will also become certified in network installation and management.   The course has been designed with student learning as its focus. 

The Information Technology Programs helps meet the diverse needs of students with different interests and objectives.  Courses encourage practical application of knowledge through hands-on activities, to prepare students for career opportunities, continuing education, and globally-recognized certifications.  With support from instructors, students who are disciplined and motivated cannot only earn industry recognized certifications, but will also acquire the hands-on skills to be confident in competing in today’s workforce.
