If you’re interested in increasing your financial awareness and accountability while also gaining a marketable skill, this course is for you. Accounting Business Technology prepares students to master the fundamentals of Accounting for a Proprietorship, Partnership, and Corporation through the Accounting cycle. Students will learn basics in bookkeeping, how to analyze and record financial transactions, and how to prepare various financial reports at the end of the fiscal period. Master the accounting competencies in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll procedures, sales taxes, computer literacy, Excel, QuickBooks, and various common banking activities. Suitable for either a small business or an individual household, this course is sure to increase financial awareness and accountability.

• High school students should obtain counselor approval prior to enrolling in all classes to ensure that they are consistent with their SEOP goal.
• As part of the admission process, adult students are required to complete a basic assessment of reading and math skills. The test is free and takes approximately 1 hr to complete. For additional information, call the Testing Center at: (801) 753-4110.
