What is Custom Fit?

How can it save your company money?

Custom Fit is a dynamic partnership between the State of Utah and the local business community.
Our mission is simply to provide customized employee training – including apprenticeship-related training – which in turn stimulates economic development.
This unique program offers you and your employees the benefit of state-of-the-art training at a cost you can afford. How? The Utah State Legislature provides funds each year to improve the skills of employees.
The State will pay a portion of the cost of training for employees of qualified companies.
For apprenticeship, that means if a qualified for-profit company enrolls the apprentice in either the MATC or UVU apprenticeship program and provides Custom Fit with proof of payment in the program, Custom Fit will reimburse the company $100 for each enrolled employee.

To receive the $100 reimbursement, a company should:
  1. Have their employees register for an apprenticeship program at either MATC or UVU and pay the tuition and fees.
  2. Obtain a receipt for the payment.
  3. Fill out a Training Agreement / Reimbursement Form.
       a.  For MATC students, either attach Proof of Payment or
            include payment information.
       b.  For UVU students, attach Proof of Payment.
  4. Fax or mail the documents to MATC Custom Fit.
  5. Keep a copy of the submitted documents for your records.
